Warm Welcome

Hello everyone,
Welcome to my world.... Barbados. My main objective for creating this website is to offer the traveller useful information that is much needed when visiting the island. As a native and voyageur at heart, it is always nice to have a locals prospective on tings to do and see on the island, not the lacklustre stuff. This web site will prove to be useful in many ways. If you have any further information regarding a tour  please do not hesitate to contact me. Remember, Barbados isn't just about beaches and resorts.
Happy surfing.

Heighten your taste buds!

Drink's recommendations: Try our local Banks Beer, our fine quality Bajan rum and other brewed soft drinks such as fruity and juicy.

Flyin Fish is one of my favourite fish. For lunch I highly recommend what we call “fish cutter". It's flyin fish fried, sandwich between a bun with salad. It is delicious!

Getting around on the Island

The island is a 166 sq. miles. Using the public transport is quick, easy and affordable. A $1.50 Barbados can get you pretty much anywhere around the island. You can also rent a moke or for the luxurious traveller a full loaded car. Remember we drive on the left side of the roads.  Whatever you need, we can arrange. Taxi's usually cost from BD'S and UP!

Exchange Rate: On the street you can get two for one on the US dollar. Currency Conversion is the following

$1.00US=$1.9900BD'S                                             $1.00CAD=$1.49557BD'

$1.00GBP=.60486BD'S                                          $1.00EUR=.41576BD'S

Don't Forget!

Do not forget to bring your camera! Try to purchase a disposable waterproof camera. It is nice to capture the turtles and fish and reef in all it's glory while snorkelling or scuba diving.
